About House of Anouar
House of Anouar is a Moroccan-American family shop offering handmade zellige tiles, Handcrafted Beldi Glassware and heritage art for the home shaped by Moroccan and African craft traditions.
Named after the Anouar family name, House of Anouar grew from years spent between two worlds: Nicole’s life in California, Faysal’s home in Marrakech, and the relationships they have built over time with the people, places, and crafts of Morocco.
This is not a brand built around a trend. It comes from real time in Morocco: walking through the medina, visiting workshops, learning how things are made, and seeing how deeply Moroccan craft is woven into everyday life. Tile, clay, glass, metal, wood, wool, these materials are not treated as disposable objects. They are shaped by hand, with skill passed down through families, neighborhoods, and generations.
At the heart of House of Anouar is the belief that handmade work carries something a machine cannot. The act of creation itself reflects something sacred: pattern, proportion, material, patience, and the human hand coming together to make something with meaning. The slight variations, uneven edges, visible marks, and imperfect surfaces are not flaws to hide. They are reminders that beauty is found in what is real, and meant to be lived with.
Our zellige tiles are handmade in Morocco using traditional methods, and our artisan goods are sourced through relationships with makers and workshops they know personally. Many of these artisans are friends, collaborators, and people connected to our life in Marrakech.
House of Anouar is committed to fair and respectful sourcing, clear communication, and honoring the work and time behind every piece. The goal is not to mass-produce Moroccan style, but to share authentic Moroccan craftsmanship in a way that supports the people who make it and helps preserve traditions that are becoming harder to sustain.
