This listing is for 1 square foot of Moroccan Zellige tiles. This amount includes 10 4 in/10 cm tiles or 33 2 in/5 cm tiles. We are happy to provide custom quotations for projects or larger quantities.
Called "magic tiles" in Moroccan culture for their dynamic nature and sacred history, handmade Zellige tiles are a staple in modern luxury design for their unmatched texture and finish. Their glossy glaze and pigment process create natural variation from tile to tile, with color shifting throughout the day as light reflects across the surface.
Perfectly imperfect, these handmade Moroccan tiles are crafted by master artisans using generations-old techniques. Authentic zellige mosaic tile is only made in Morocco using clay from the Northern region of Fes, where unique mineral deposits create its distinctive character. Our tiles ship directly from Morocco, supporting local artisans and sustaining this ancient craft. Each tile is hand cut and packed in Marrakesh.
Expect variation in size, color, tone, depth, texture, pits, and chips. These natural characteristics are part of Zellige's handcrafted beauty and signature aesthetic. Images shown are representative samples and may not display all variation.
We recommend ordering 15-20% overage to help curate your installation and account for natural variation or imperfections outside your desired range.
We offer custom Zellige tile orders and quantities in any style, size, or color to bring your creative vision to life. If you need something specific, reach out with a message and we'll respond within 24 hours.

INSTALLATION:
Professional installation is recommended. Traditionally, no space is left between tiles for grout lines, tiles are laid edge to edge. We recommend soaking tiles in water for 30 minutes before installation. This opens the pores and allows them to bond more fully to the mortar.
AREAS OF USE:
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Perfect for Kitchen backsplash, fireplace tile surrounds, decorative fireplace tiles, showers, floors, walls, sinks, outdoor cooking areas, pools, fountains, DIY projects, and unique spaces like shelves, alcoves, or steps. Safe for high heat areas. Waterproof and safe for high heat. Not appropriate for outdoor spaces below freezing.
SHIPPING & CARE:
- These tiles ship directly from Morocco, we ask for your patience and understanding throughout the process

- Standard processing time: 10-14 days
- Packed securely in a padded box to reduce breakage
- Every step of our production process is by hand in small batches
